Thunderbird Minerals Corp. Grants Charitable Stock Options to The Singh Foundation

August 15, 2023 View PDF Version

Vancouver, British Columbia, August 15, 2023 – Thunderbird Minerals Corp. TSXV: BIRD) (the “Company” or “Thunderbird”) is pleased to announce the granting of 100,000 charitable stock options to The Singh Foundation. These options, with an exercise price of $0.12 per share, will be valid for a duration of five years from the date of grant.

The Singh Foundation was founded by R. Bob Singh, P.Geo., who has been associated with the mineral exploration industry for over 30 years and has worked in major mineral districts in Canada including Ontario, British Columbia and also California USA, all areas in which Thunderbird is interested. Mr Singh has a strong technical background in evaluating and exploring gold and base metal mineral systems. Mr. Singh led the exploration team at Great Bear Resources and played a pivotal role in both recognizing and helping to uncover a initial resource of over 5 million ounces of gold that continues to grow. Investors were rewarded in the success of Great Bear Resources, that saw the share price increase 19,000% over a 7-year period. Kinross Gold acquired Great Bear Resources for $1.8 billion in February 2022.

The Singh Foundation is a registered non-profit charitable society, with a mission centered around fostering youth engagement within communities through sports and local initiatives. Rooted in Surrey, British Columbia for over five decades, the Singh family recognizes the significance of providing a healthy and safe space for children to partake in recreational activities, regardless of personal, societal, or economic constraints.

John Newell President and CEO of Thunderbird states:

I have known Bob Singh for over 7 years now and watched his participation in both the geological and financial success of Great Bear Resources, when early money raises were difficult and witnessed his thoughtful and careful work that led to his steadfast belief that Great Bear Resources was on to an important mineral discovery, despite being missed by other exploration programs in the past. Bob has also worked extensively in California, another mineral rich district that is important to Thunderbird Mineral Corp. When talking to Bob about his charity it is apparent at the outset that he is as passionate about it, as he has been about his life’s work, and we are very happy to support his foundation.
